I've been meaning to submit a request of change for mine, because it isn't what I had asked for. Didn't realise it was some sort of default.

Sadly, the plagues have struck the Monarchical court. The Queen of Men, Crown Princess of Men, and Prince of Men have all gained the Nausea trait; the court physician has prescribed a vile concoction and bed rest. The King of Men is so far unaffected, but given the overpowered spread rates this is unlikely to last. Sad

Today I met a man who had apparently completed most of a PhD in computer science without coming across the phrase "unit testing". Very smart guy, but sheesh, what are they teaching the kids these days?

Jargon Changes rather rapidly now adays I've noticed.

I talk to underclassmen at university using Jargon I picked up years ago and they look at me like I'm speaking another language, And Yet the Teachers understand my questions almost immediately in comparison to others though are almost always surprised with the way I word things.

Ok, but he was also apparently unfamiliar with the concept, not just the phrase. He did not understand what I was asking him to do.

Today I spent two hours doing literally nothing else but pondering how in the world Saarland actually seemed to be doing so well in EU4 following that bad CK2 conversion to the tune of Floral Shoppe's Macintosh Plus

It was a weird day when I'm on a bunch of meds to deal with super sickness.

Unrelated, have a very very ugly ship that did surprisingly well in a different game.

RTW is great fun yeah, and yeah, the massed 15 gun main battery in 1915 (the production year of the ship) let it do alot of damage against other cruisers or DDs. It and it's sister ship did burn a battleship to death though with massed HE fire.

Honestly for me the double funnels stacked up like that is probably the ugliest part, though the front deck arrangement doesn't help since I didn't have a superimposed front turret researched yet (It's design was caused by a super long lasting washington treaty knock off that limited size to 13,000 tons and 8 inch guns)

Unit Testing is very much a subject of Software Engineering and is a crucial part of the design and development process for things like Agile/Waterfall/Scrum.

Computer Science is different from software engineering and deals with the theory behind computation. I can see a software engineer not knowing about turing machines for instance.

The intersection of the two disciplines doesn't produce the same results of the union of both sets (also set theory wouldn't fall under engineering).

I know what Unit Testing is as I had an intro. to Software engineering course; I don't however know how to do unit testing in a production environment with real world code, I was only ever taught if (1+1==2) return true;

Their game can only exist to be won.
Then so be it who else can see it done.

Most software engineers, in my experience, have a degree in CS and know both Turing machines and compiler theory. That aside, I agree that CS courses don't teach anything useful. Smile

IIRC I think the theory side of algorithms/performance, logical thinking, and artificial intelligence theory falls more under CS than software engineering. Or at least at my university that's how it feels like; and all these things are fairly critical.

Nah, I was the weirdo in normal cloths trying to take pictures of everyone. Was asked if I am press on several occasions.
"Do I look like a fecking journalist?"
"Well you're wearing a dress shirt."
"Ah shit I am." Didn't even wear normal T-shirts, just full on dress shirts.

I did get a signed poster from the actress, and writer of Hell Blade. The unique and edgy "Indie AAA" game. I curious now if I have to get their game because I pretending to like it for a free poster.

New Changelog released, naturally our game wont get any of the neat stuff since we'll have to use a previous version but alot of the war changes are fairly massive.

10% Raider Maintenance is a huge buff
Omnes viae Romam ducunt nerf is massive for crusades.
- Added Game Rule for Multiplayer Assassinations
- Added Game Rule for Multiplayer Invasion CBs
- Added Game Rule for Multiplayer 3rd Party Claims
are all really nice additions too.

Last Stand - Similar to Force Attack but when on defense. Use it if you must absolutely hold somewhere no matter what while attacking elsewhere. We also have some national flavor version of these for China and Japan.

But possibly somewhat more balanced this time as it costs mana.

The Last Stand and Forced attack additions are huge and welcome changes. Last Stand in Particular nerfs 15-5 Tank divisions quite a bit as now you can force your units to stand and fight instead of cry and run away from tanks so that help can arrive.
