*** ROMA ***

A great military victory for the European Union, and a MORAL victory as well, as we saw what kind of low, dirty creatures these Asians really are: Threatening to break peace treaties we, the European peoples, signed in good faith, just to save the morally and physically corrupt Persian regime. (See also "Persia Uncovered", a splendid documentary about the true horror and filthiness of the "noble" Persian.) We, the European Union, were willing to accept a White Peace with the Persian dogs, but the Yellow Peril, with threats of outright warfare (in addition to the covert warfare they had been waging against us through aiding the Axis of Evil) sought to deny us our just and legitimate rights to the Sinai Peninsula, even rejecting our offer to release Egypt as a forever independent and neutral state.

It is comforting to see, in this ever changing world, that Indian humor is still at it's usual low.

*THIS IS INDIA*

The new interim government in India began with a tiny industrial base and high unemployeement accross the nation. It was decided that through injection of economic aide from our allies we would expand our industry and commercial sectors making us one of the more powerful industrial states in the Indian Ocean theater. Agreements were made with APR for the peaceful handover of Colombo which sore our nations industrial sector grow even stronger. Even with the new industrial and commercial expansions, there was still relitively high unemployeement. The answer was a massive military expansion project...

So far Indian Ghurka divisions have been recruited and deployed to bases accross the nation along with multiple infantry divisions and the first Indian armoured corps. Also it was decided to invest into a small but capable airforce despite our Chinese allies boasts that the PLA airforce had enough planes to completely blot out the sun over the entire stretch of Europ... I mean India. Also with growing tensions with the ever aggressive and oppressive European Union, it was decided to establish a small navy.

As the 1940's dawn and go forward, so does India. We emerge as a growing industrial, commercial and military power. Will peace and stability resume or will war once again come and take young Indian soldiers to distant battle feilds....

WAR!!!

After a raid was carried out by Bourbonese Commandoes desguised as Baltic seperatists on the Russian border forts at Leningrad, war was inevitable. The united armed forces of the Asian alliance began immediate mobilization for a swift and just act of retribution. Some 15 Indian armoured, 25 Ghurka and 30 mechanized Indian divisions would make up part of the Asian battle group Ukraine. China was to commit 100 mechanized and 150 infantry divisions. The Australiasian Expidionary Force (AEF), would comprise some 50 armoured divisions. Russia would contribute 70 armoured divisions, over 120 infantry divisions and 20 divisions of Imperial Russian bear cavalry. A combined Asian airforce of some 23'000 fighter aircraft and 11'000 bomber aircraft of various classes and roles was also assembled.

Asian high command worked well allthough communications in the south were damaged by enemy bombing runs which resulted in the unfortunate destruction of 18 armoured divisions. The pilots of the Indian Airforce (IAF) proved superior to European fighter pilots and our Indian designed and made Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX fighters, far exceeded the capabilities of the European fighters giving our brave pilots that extra edge. So fearsome are the Indian pilots and they're Spitfires that the European airforce seemed to dissapear over night after our arrival. Gladly though we got to go head to head with the Bourbonese and Roman airforces on our own, and won staggering victories. With the skies cleared by young Indian airmen and with tens of thousands of enemy troops killed by young Indian soldiers on the ground. With thousands more killed by our allies, and a rumoured 250'000 European troops cut off in the Baltics and another 200'000 cut off in Finland. It is rumoured that the Bourbonese and Roman leadership has lost their will for war. Peace negotiations are currently underway to save the seemingly doomed European troops in the Baltics and Finland. Will the peace talks succede, or will Il Duce and Le Presidente Schuer prove how cold and heartless they are and doom there troops to death...

WAR

At 7:00am on July 20th, 1942 Imperial Russia declared War on Roma and a state of war existed between Europe and Asia. Millions of Asian troops smashed across the border, causing chaos amongst the weak European front lines. The first few days of war saw Asian troops making large advances on the north continent, and a brilliant landing of Elite Russian Paratrooper divisions in Scandinavia broke the front there wide open as Russian armor was delivered via sea transport once a port had been secured.

Meanwhile, in the southern sector, lack of communication between commanders lead to the destruction of a fraction of the combined armor force, however, this minor setback enraged Imperial Russian commanders, who nearly executed the commander in charge of the sector, but last minute interference from Chinese High Command slowed Russian tempers and prevented possible civil war. Perhaps because of this, the southern front remains largely static as large armored formations face off against each other.

Shocked by the violence of the offensive and dismayed by the certain destruction of so many of their forces in the northern sector, European officials began calling for peace talks almost immediately after the beginning of the war. Imperial commanders feel that we should press our advantage and crush the European powers, taking revenge for their dastardly offensive so many years ago, but cooler heads are prevailing, and peace between Europe and Asia seems likely.

The Foreign Ministry's booklet
on the recent history of the
Republic of China

Chapter 9: Showdown with europe
After the failure of the stalingrad peace summit and other measures to resolve the war with european nations & APR/Persia, the asian alliance had no choice but to threaten intervention after european forces forced APR out of the war, captured suez and were about to mount an attack on persia. The european nations quickly backed down and withdrew from suez, 2 year non-aggression pacts were signed by all parties involved to ensure peace & stability on the border regions. This peace was quickly followed by another deal between the americans and europeans ending all active wars and reigning in a new era of peace.

During this peace our intelligence operatives kept a close eye on the europeans, monitoring their massive growth of tanks & forces as well as their buildup along our borders. To counter this threat chineese high command begun modernizing the military and replacing outdated infantry with new mechanized divisions, as well as upgrading all the branches of our armed forces. With the expiration of the non-aggression pact an asian alliance council meeting was conviened to discuss the increasing threat of the european alliance & their buildup along the border. It seemed that war was inevitable so the decision was taken to strike first.

On the eve of the attack, Russian paratroopers opened the way for a behind enemy lines campaign in finland that succeeded in cutting off the fortified defensive lines from the rest of europe. Chineese infantry also succeeded in capturing gotland island then assisted russian armour in capturing konisberg and sealing yet another encirclement of the baltic regions. It is estimated that close to 100 enemy divisions are trapped in both encirclements. Chineese bombers diverted from logistical strikes to destroy an enemy transport fleet that attempted to ferry troops away from the baltic encirclement, sinking 8 transports and severly damaging the last one.

However due to severe breakdown of communication, a group of indian & russian tanks operating in ukraine were encircled and destroyed by the enemy. This was a significant setback and threatened to slow down the momentum of the entire campaign. However asian high command was confident that asian victory was inevitable, and so it seemed european high command too. With almost 2 months of war the european nations were begging for peace, having proven our point the asian alliance decided to suspend further bloodshed and accept the european offer for peace, with russia gaining Ukraine, the Baltics, Byelorussia, Eastern Poland and Finland as well as the return of egypt to APR.
