yes. My only party to let me be fully citizenship, besides my communists.

The important part though is how to be a democracy again, now, while remaining socialist.

At least I got Austria into the war against Italy Big Grin
I regret not buying one of the Italian provinces off Austria before the Italy-event. I could've gotten it cheap.

"Hvor fattige var de ikke, disse fiskere som levde av havets nåde! De slet sig gjennom livet uten å se sig om til høire eller til venstre. Deres gleder var få, deres bekymringer mange. Men de hadde allikevel et gemyttlig smil til den fremmede, en munter vise og en lun historie. For sånn er de, disse Sørlandets barn."

I ran it. :-d

Colonized those provinces, took a peace of Pakistan, doubled your prestige (should be tripled but lag). Helped out Transvaal and destroyed you treasury but got reimbursed, spent that money on a capitalist who has been doing pretty well, he has built a couple of railroads and 3 factories that are sort of filled. My next step was enacting all the social reforms to compete with everyone else for immigrants which you need the conservative party into power.

And you have 3 million population and a limited amount of immigrants.

When the game started, you weren't getting any. The main thing was elections, I went to intervention so I can put the social reforms you can afford on. I got a series of nasty events for Argentina (no choice to the matter) that puts you back some but more importantly, destroys your liberal party. It becomes I limited citizenship, moralist government instead of full citizen, pluralist. At that point I started elections to put you back to intervention to get all the social reforms (apparently you don't need to fund them) so you can compete with Colombia, Transvaal and US, maybe even the disaster we call Mexico. :-d This is not to say I wasn't getting immigrants during some spans I got around 10,000 a month while others zero, they showed no consistency. We believe it is because the US hogging the immigrants when liberal.

The big thing is once you go intervention and can afford to to put in social reforms (they are $2,500) your only choice is to go socialist, as any other way you risk losing immigrants. I have been constantly trying to get to socialist and the last one was ridiculous close, .20 percent off from Liberal party. The whole countries was unemployed and being taxed to oblivion but nothing really happened. So it can be a really frustrating next session for you or an immigrant rich one.

Uruguay and Paraguay spent a lot of the session on the cusp of bankruptcy. None of them bit the dust however so I didn't attack, I already lost 82 prestige because of lag and a DoW of Oranje (looked to Ederon as -300 prestige but apparently not). However I think I got it back out of luck, not sure cause I didn't see the peace deal.

since ramadan has come I'll usually be sitting at the dining table by the time the session starts so either someone will have to sub me for the following month or I'll show up 1/2 hours late every time.

Enjoy you holiday:-)
