April 1, 1936:
Initial victories are celebrated at Kalgan and Tangshan, as Chinese defenses are overrun.

April 3, 1936:
EU soviets dow Bourbon.

April 1-4, 1936:
Naval battle off Shanghai's coast leaves no victors. A lightly damaged PRRS navy has to recover from some minor damage.

April 4, 1936:
A bombshell hitting the command post of USNA headquarters result in the first crash for the session. Imminent rehost.

Early to mid April, 1936:
Shanghai, Guanzhou, Fuzhou and Beijing fall at roughly the same time. A devastating blow to the chinese morale.
Around the world, great advances of the human nations against the AI. The AI wars enter a critical phase.

Late April to mid May, 1936:
Great avdnaces in China. Most of the Chinese coast is occupied, only little parts around Guangxi are still left unoccupied.
The first PRRS troops land on the northeastern indochinese coast. Indochina has already lost the indoneasian islands to Australasia, which is also right now advancing on Bangkok from Singapore.
Meanwhile, in recent naval engagements, the PRRS have to admit the loss of one Battlecruiser, which sunk at the hands of a Chinese Carrier.

May, 1936:
Prussia is getting dismembered by Roma, while EU soviets themselves slaughter the Bourbon troops.
Sweden marches on Moscow, while India started hostilities with Indochina, advancing into Burma.

June 9, 1936:
With Bourbon annexed, the first AI falls to human hands.

June 9, 1936:
First Human - Human crisis looms, as India substitute IKE demands all of Burma, while Australasia will only agree to Northern Burma.

June 10, 1936:
The next AI nations falls in the aI wars. USNA annexes CSA.

July 1, 1936:
Roma and EU soviets vice versa exchange claims. EU soviets receive Rhineland, while Roma inherits territory around grenoble and nice.

July 8, 1936:
The American alliance, consisting of USNA and Libertadores, dows EU soviets, out of nowhere. The world community, with the AI wars still raging, expect not such a move.

July 9, 1936:
Russia allies itself with Indochina. Russia is now at war with PRRS, Australia and India.
India invades Northwestern China, speeding up the process of a crumbling chinese republic.

July 13, 1936:
Sweden and Roma ally with EU soviets, forming a powerful bloc of countries in Europe. The european comintern is at war with the american alliance.

July 19, 1936:
Moscow falls to Swedish hands.
USNA captures important islands in the atlantic, but no other border changes so far.

July to Mid August:
Still no major border changes in africa in the American-European war.
Russian incursions into Manchuria are blunted, the invaders forced out. PRRS troops advance into eastern siberia.

August 14, 1936:
The PRRS, having advanced well beyond Chongqing, releases the client state of Communist China that will help to spread socialism around Asia and eventually the globe.
Chairman Mao is trusted with leading the nation from the ashes.

September, 1936:
A peace deal is signed to conclude the short Atlantic war. 2 Islands, Azores and Bermudas in the north pacific are ceded to USNA.

October, 1936:
Japanese troops advances further into eastern Siberia. Most of Northwestern China, namely sinkiang and Tibet, fall into Indian hands.
The Chinese Republic merely lives on in the outer fringes of Mongolia.

1936 was a great year for the Liberators! The confederate fascists massed thier worthless troops on our borders, but in a stroke of genius our peoples army generals landed forces throughout central america. In battle after battle the evil fascisti were pushed back, encircled and destroyed. Simultaneous attacks were launched against the fascists in africa. In running drawn out battles in the african jungles, our newest cavalry troops proved thier mettle. With horse drawn artillery, the african fascists were pushed back. Our generals only managed small encirclements, and our peoples navy often fought against 3 fascist navies. The russians, the aprains, and the confederates. The odds got better when our democratic ally the usna finally annexed the confederates.
It was a sad day when we had to declare war against the european soviets. However even brothers have squabbles. We merely desired to buy a few worthless islands that were within striking distance of our very capitol. In the end it was a false war, we never fired shots in anger. We came to agreement as brothers should. Can our brothers not understand? The capitalists can be swayed to our way, violence is not needed. The hated fascists however, they are the spawn of the evil one and must be destroyed to save the people from eternal bondage.

European Soviets
Jan - October 1936


Winter 1936
Despite popular demand for swift democratization, Highest Soviet decided to keep the power firmly in its hands and rather be less fundamental in its socialist beliefs. This move signals either willingness of ES to tolerate other perceptions or great incompetence. Rumors says it is the latter.

However, change of political climate was not the only thing on the ES agenda. Growing tensions around the Europe had to be dealt with. Sweden in expectation of war with her other neighbors signed non-aggression pact with ES. Capitalist Bourbon and fascist Prussia did just the opposite and began to mass armies on their border with ES. Since there was no problem to find willing "correspondents" in France and Spain, ES leadership had very accurate info about power of Bourbon army and its positioning. However, we lacked accurate intelligence about their navy. It was just natural decision to greet Bourbon in Paris rather then waiting for them in London. So the preparations began.


March - June 1936
In first half of March new transport fleet was finished and new conscripts concluded their training. Time for decisive battle was approaching fast.

On April 3rd three divisions of elite soldiers were ready to land in Seville. However, to surprise of ES high command, Bourbon main fleet popped out of nowhere and tried to interdict the landing. Meanwhile ES Navy guarded what was falsely considered anchorage of that fleet - Brest. Luckily, due to bad visibility and brave evasive action taken by ES commanding officer, none of transports was hit nor damaged. Since ES troops were already flowing across the Channel and directly threatening Paris, Bourbon fleet was recalled there instead. Seville was captured few days later, Gibraltar by the end of April.

In France, situation was pleasing. Few hundred thousand men poured inland through Le Havre and Caen. Paris fell soon and Bourbon overall morale vanished. In few encirclements around Lille and Metz they lost majority of her army and rest of the country literally gave up. Peace was within reach. On June 12 Bourbon king Louis XX signed unconditional surrender. All the territory belonging to his former kingdom is now legally recognized as land of European people.

Friendly relations with Roma were cemented by mutual exchange of territories gained from Bourbon/Prussia. ES received Rheinland while Roma got parts of Southern France and North Africa.


Atlantic Dispute
Yet in January informal talks with representatives of USNA raised question of naval bases in Atlantic ocean. Hawkish Americans judging according to their own standards consider them threat to their sovereignty. Since ES leadership had more pressing issues to resolve, this discussion was postponed.

After annexation of Bourbon and The Confederates, USNA - now allied to South American Libertadores - opened the question again. Now they wanted Greenland, Bermuda, The Azores and Cap Verde. This alone was unacceptable as it'd allow invasion of home islands and rest of Europe. Seeing how aggressive they pressed for the deal and having many doubt about it's fairness, Highest Soviet had to discuss this matter in greater detail before any action would be taken. However, Americans were impatient and in their paranoia stopped negotiations and attacked without warning. This severely damaged image and trustworthiness of USNA and Libertadores in eyes of ES leadership and people themselves. More of a concern is that it was Libertadores who declared war, our until-now-regarded comrades in belief.

As a response to this hostility, war on APR was declared to prevent Libertadores or her ally to exploit the situation of shared borders in Africa. Soon enough USNA occupied Bermuda, Greenland, The Azores and Cap Verde. Ascunsion and St. Helena was grabbed off APR by ES amphibious forces.

On background of recent events, future cooperation with Americans was considered unlikely. With this finding, ES had to seek her allies elsewhere, even considering capitalist Sweden. Relations with Sweden were correct so we invited both Roma and Sweden to the alliance. This formed biggest alliance in the world, covering most of Europe and northwestern of Africa.

As later development indicated, it was just lack of diplomatic skill that lead Americans to such premature actions. After numerous meeting on various warships in Atlantic, they seemed to reach the point where they are able to consider also reasoning and interests of the other side. It was agreed that Atlantic will become demilitarized zone with no navalbases on Greenland, Azores, Cap Verde and Ascunsion. This should help to make relationship between the two (three) continents neutral or friendly rather then hostile.

That concluded war between Americas and Europe.

The Ottoman Empire - January 1936 - October 1936


After it's humiliating defeat in the Great War of 1918. The Ottoman Empire looked to regain some of it's former glory and it's prestigious standing amongst it's fellow world powers. Emissaries were dispatched to the newly formed Republic of India and the re-emerging Roman Empire based around Italy. Aggreements of trade, peace and non-aggression were sought and on a level were successfully attained. Now with our two main flanks secured, it was time for the Ottoman High Command to first. Decide on a potential area of expansion, and second. Draw up plans for that successful expansion. An aggreement was made with the Indian government over a mutual split of Persia when the time came, but India's sudden involement in the raging war again st Indo-China and the Republic of China delayed plans for the Invasion of Persia. So an aggreement was made with Roma, which would see them take Prussia in exchange for non-intervention in an Ottoman war against the Cossack Federation.

The plan was simple and somewhat text book. Our forces poised against the Cossacks in the Causucus would fight a purely defensive campaign until the later stages of the war. The 1st and 2nd Infantry armies under the command of Feild Marshalls Dowling and Feild Marshalls Coste would push the enemy and advance up from Bulgaria into Romania and penertrate deep into the Ukraine around Kiev. A third force of heavy assault infantry supported by heavy feild artillery would land in the Crimea at Yevpatoriya, command of this was given to Feild Marshall Erasay. He was to quickly advance and capture Sevastopol and then destroy the isolated defenders of the Crimea and capture the land link at Kerch linking the crimea with much needed supplies and reinforcements from the Causucus.

While the advances were being made with only a few hard fought victories in Romania, men, materials and supplies were flowing into the newly occupied Crimean Peninsular. More forces had been placed under the command of FM Dowling and FM Coste to compensate for the widening front as it expanded into the vast plains of the Ukraine. Feeling that enough forces had been built up in the Crimea, FM Erasay was ordered to attack with all haste to pull pressure from the now intensifying Ukrainian front. Orders were simple, advance with all possible speed to the capital Dnepropetrovsk and then to Stalino and capture the nations major power producing facilities. This would acheive several things.

It would cripple the Cossack industry, and it would also leave two thirds of the nation without electrictity hence reducing their communication and co-ordination efforts. The fall of the capital had the desired effect, large concentrations of Cossack forces had been pulled away from the Ukraine allowing FM Dowling and FM Coste to make rapid advances. FM Dowling, Coste and FM Erasay had all linked up and secured the entire north of the country which sore many Cossack divisions destroyed or surrender.

In a war that has seen over 100 battles thus far, final victory and peace look almost certain on the horizon. Ottoman forces steam roll towards the Volga River and the last major Cossack stronghold, Stalingrad. Once Stalingrad is in Ottoman hands, the Cossacks will have no choice but to surrender and bend to the will of the Ottoman Sultan. Then perhaps, there shall be a time of peace... SE.
