Operation Barbarossa begins:

In early May 1941 Germany breached its non-agression pact with the Soviet Union, and proceeded in an all out invasion of the Soviet Socialist Republics.

The forces of the Wermacht attacked along two lines, in the center through Beloruyssia towards Minsk, and in through the Ukraine toward Kiev.

Fighting was intense on both fronts, but in most cases Soviet forces were able to withdraw in good order despite the remarkable efficiency of the German armoured columns. Near Kiev Field Marshall Timoshenko's infantry army was quickly brushed aside, and 2 armies were dispersed and decimated as the enemy advanced into the province of Bobraisk. Civilian militia hung on desperately in Minsk in the face of a massive assault against the suburbs of the city, as Marshall Zhukov's tank army retreated into the city averting total disaster. The invader was forced to abandon this plan and redirected his efforts to the north into Wilno and towards Riga to find a way around the fortress city.

General Meretskov's army of the Priept marshes made a valiant effort to hold an advanced position after being surounded by mixed groups of German, Romanian and Slovakian troops, but the efforts of the valiant defenders to break out were in vain, but their bravery aided in the defence of the motherland by delaying the invaders, despite the loss of this important formation.

In the south, Field Marshall Popov held the field long enough to ensure that stragglers falling back from the massive assault along the border between Brest Litovsk and Lvov were able to reach the new Soviet lines. A series of delaying actions in Tarnpol, Vynitsia and Cherkassy ensued under the direct command of Marshall Popov, and General Vassilevsky, with the aid of General Rokossovsky's armoured corp.

After three weeks of fighting the army of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic have fought courageously to prevent a German breakout into the Soviet heartlands, and have maintained cohesion against the massive assault of the fascist invaders.

The Mod can also be set up with the Jones Generic Mod Enabler and has worked fine in that mode in my tests. This version has everything in it, 1.3beta, JSGME and the East is Red patch, and can be installed straight to your Armageddon 1.2 (ZBLV) folder without disrupting vanilla at all. It has the 1.3beta exe update and JGSME Mod system right in it. Just unzip to your main doomsday folder, copy the contents of the folder, then past into the main folder, then enable the mod using the JSGME system. Once you execute the JSGME it is pretty self-explanatory: EIR NZQS --ARMA 1.3beta complete 1.3b

Small patch from XTPS or NZQS 1.2 to NZQS 1.3b: Goering EIR -- Patch 1.3b

It would be a dangerous folly for the British people to underrate the enduring position in world history which Mussolini will hold; or the amazing qualities of courage, comprehension, self-control and perseverance which he exemplifies.

Seems like I did not killed as many as I expected, I missed the destruction of 40 units I think due to longer battles, no luck. But you're fighting good, and the pieces of the KM (after the bloody engagements during Weserubung) can't stand a fight against the soviet wolfpacks of subs IV.You also worked in the modernisation of your interceptors and the research of air doctrines, I wasn't prepared for that and it surprised me.Now the north front is no longer covered by german aircraft. LOL
I need to group all my air in the same area to keep the airsuperiority. One Tooth Grin

July 18th, 1942:

Germany remains supreme in continental Europe:

Finland Entered the war and Attacked Russia. Germany released the new fascist state of the Ukraine,

in Asia Japan has collapsed under the combined weight of the British and American navies:

The Home Island were occupied. Vietnam and Indonesia were released. Manchukou was annexed by the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile Russia clings to the hope that Winter will again abate the Nazi onslaught:

Leningrad fell to Germany. The army was devided between Finland and Archangels.

The big question at the begining of this session, and the start of the summer campaign season, was wether or not Russia would survive another year, or be BP'd pretty much immediatly by the almost invincible German tank armies. Germany of course has other problems and the sudden collapse of Japan means that the shores of Europe are no longer safe from threat. Despite the debacle of Barbarossa in 1941, the Russians cling to the hope of a second front and the possibility of repreive.

Plenty of life left in this game. Even if Russia can survive will Allies be able to crack the Axis nut?

War plan pink !

No this update won't be about war plans said Churchill slowly sipping his tea. I am damn tired from plans and all those little schemers buzzing around me past 4 years, he said after drinking small sip of his tea ,enforced with whiskey judging from smell). I even had nightmares, especially terrible were last night. Oh you don't want to hear about it - doesn't matter, I will tell you about it anyway. Actually it was pretty simple - Japanese u-boat slowly appearing in cold spring morning, south of Ceylon, and shooting two torpedo at British cargo ship.

Watch notices them them only few seconds before impact, first one misses by several dozen feet, second detonates precisely bellow bridge. I hear violent blast, ship shakes terribly and brokes in 2 parts and all valuable tea cargo floats in burning sea till becomes too heavy and sink, ends old man and brokes down in tears.Did you know that during German u-boat offensive* We had only 2 week supply of tea, you can't imagine all that stress and strain I had to bear, concludes Churchill and slowly braces himself together. What we were going to talk about - oh, yes - Japan.

That campaign was a good show, all empire acting as one, Indian/Nepalese/Australian/French soldiers fightin' and dying for our glory...I actually managed to convince FDR to grant my guys lead over American soldiers for invasion. Did you know that invasion was my idea **, good one heh ? So I get one of few reasonable commanders I have to take charge, he ain't one of these schemers trying to look smart - but smart he is. Here is what he showed http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/5274/47288214lo2.png"/> judging by ugly colors and amateurish look I suspect he draw it himself, but I didn't had to read trough all these papers, so it took me no long time to agree.

You wonder how we could undertake such an ambitious operation with plan that look like drawn in 4th grade ? He he, then you won't be surprised that it it didn't went as planned, assault aimed at Osaka were repelled by 2 dig-in garrison divisions with outdated equipment but excellent morale. Attack against Shikoku went as planned till one loser*** ordered to withdraw it, his fault was concealed in messy chain of command.

I was surprised how minor our losses were, we lost only 8 SS in all Pacific campaign, Americans took more heavy toll
American ship Bunker Hill burning after Japanese kamikaze aircraft attacks.

, but that was light prize to pay for all those new colonies we got. Oh, btw you know about our plans to completely de-industrialize Japan ? I took it one step further, I have ordered my men to create 5 year plan with ultimate goal to cover all Japan with tea plantations.

I cannot yet tell any specific information about United Kingdoms actions in western Europe. Yes I know what my people told to your people. That is how fortress Europe looks from our side

, areal reconnaissance reports roughly 6-7 divisions per province reinforced with armored formation and Wehrmacht special - panzergrenadiers. But don't loose faith yet for there is a plan, awesome plan, plan that cannot possibly fail

.****

*(no such thing happened in game)
**(it was Nostra idea)
