I have tried to make it work, but to no avail, I will probably be away on a mad weekend of debauchery and orgies during the session 27th february. Anyone feel like stepping in?

While we're on the subject, I'll be travelling on March 13th; any chance of you subbing me then, ulmont? I may also need a sub on the 20th, but this is not certain.

Should be doable, but remind me closer to the date.

I'd be glad to ruin... sub Norway...

"Hvor fattige var de ikke, disse fiskere som levde av havets nåde! De slet sig gjennom livet uten å se sig om til høire eller til venstre. Deres gleder var få, deres bekymringer mange. Men de hadde allikevel et gemyttlig smil til den fremmede, en munter vise og en lun historie. For sånn er de, disse Sørlandets barn."

Well, that's only fair I suppose. I'll PM you and provide some general guidelines for how I would prefer Shanxi to be played.

I will probably be unable to play today. The place I am at has a connection through a remote router to which i have no access. I don't suppose you know any magic tricks to port forward in such a situation? I only know Hamachi and that's a bit unwieldy.

Well do try to connect in case the router is already configured to handle DMZ or such. Otherwise I think you'd better find a sub.

Guys, starting the weekend of the April 10 session, and then every second week after that (24, etc.), I will be unable to play. If anyone wants to alternate weeks with Finland - or alternately, take them over fully - please let me know.

I'm intrigued but no, I died there once, so it would be silly to return there. As for Germany, I'm able to sub tough...

Screw it, whom I'm kidding? If KoM allows, I can take Finland back. It's not like I got any break from they game by quiting back then so I might just well play it properly...

Hi !

Carillon recruited me on the paradox forums to sub Germany next weekend,
so I created an account here and applied the mod. Checksum UYZT seems to be fine.
I also heard something about HOI2 being picky with router settings ?

The router settings are the same, IIRC, as for other Paradox MP games, so if you've played MP before you should be fine. If not, however, I suggest you have a test session beforehand, either with carillon or Dano. If that's not possible, try to show up half an hour early so we can walk you through the procedure.

Read my blog.

So could we get the save so that I can give Kolibri instructions? It is hard to be precise when I only have my memory togo on.

@KoM: I´ve played some MP over LAN, but this will be my first one via internet. Cool

@Daniel: Thanks a lot !

So I opened my router interface, associated a static (local) ip with my mac-address
and then forwarded the ports from Daniel´s link to that ip address.
I presume that now whenever I disable my software firewall I should be set up to play.
But I can also show up early of course.

By the way: Show up where exactly ?
(icq is the only instant messenger I have an account for)
Also session start is at saturday 15:00 GMT (respectively 17:00 CEST for me), yes ?
Sorry for all my noobie questions. Big Grin

You might want to consider MSN or google talk or similar. The IP should be posted here (possibly in the private subforum; King of Men can give you access to that). We also tend to talk on Teamspeak (v2) at games.exetel.com.au: http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=teamspeak2

The session start master time is 1600 CET, so 2:00 PM GMT for you.

So, turns out I'm going to be busy with Easter festivities on Saturday so I'll be needing a sub too. Golle, you think your brother is up for the job? Big Grin
