I've been thinking about this off and on all day, and I'm rather upset about it, because I have a long history with Blayne, going back to the EU2 portion of the first Great Game. I thought perhaps that once I was out of the game and its attendant high adrenaline, things might look different. But they don't. I go back through the AAR and discussion threads, and wherever I see drama and badmouthing, I see Blayne. Enough is enough. We have a 'general asshattery' rule for a reason, and I'm invoking it. Blayne is banned. Ulmont may play Russia, if he wants to.
I would appreciate if there were no celebrations or posts of "Woot, GM Hammerzeit", or suchlike.
I do not intend to argue about this, and conveniently enough I will be travelling to Europe tomorrow and out of Internet contact for a while anyway; so there's no use posting long screeds about how unfair this is. I wouldn't respond even if I were reading them.
As for the Smolensk issue that touched this off, I don't give a damn. Flip a coin for it.
Carrilon has been consistently rude to me for many sessions, and I should point out was the one the first start throwing insults in my direction simply for not accepting a peace offer that I wasn't informed about, I heard nothing about you being pissed off about this, nothing about this treading on dangerous territory and I wasn't calling anyone a 'effing this' or an 'effing that' at most you can accuse me of being sardonic and mocking something that you and every other player has been doing very consistently towards me for many sessions I did not cross any lines this session. And most certainty Dano didn't notice anything.
I was too busy fighting a war, if I was crossing the line at any point you should have clearly informed me during the session as is your job as a GM, you can't wait a whole session saying nothing and being passive agressive only to drop the bomb post session thats called entrapment.
This whole thing stinks of being a double standard that you ceased caring about what is thrown in my direction.
PM me once your back so we can discuss this in a civilized matter, I should point out the issue over Smolensk and at no point during the session was I playing in any matter anywhere close to being an 'asshat' until the peace offer that I wasn't informed of which i rejected only to recieve a figurative barrage and insults about how much an asshole I am for rejecting your ingame effort at offering the peace treaty, that none of you informed me of was being done ingame since the last chatlog on dano's screen stated it was being done via edit.
As for slipping a coin no, I'm sorry but that is not the peace treaty, the peace treaty was clearly 'up the river' that the river bends in a certain direction at some point is not grounds for pushing it further.
I also point out I objected to Smolensks inclusion when I first noticed it in chat, I assumed you were writing down the province names but
got no response.
This is absurd and in violation of common sense, you may have had a point if I was being a jerk unprovoked but the facts of the matter is I was minding my own business taking care of my front and diplomacy and didn't say a thing other then the usual player vs player bragging until after Carrilon started insulting and badmouthing me for rejecting his peace offer.
Do any of you have chatlogs or screenshots of where I supposedly crossed the line?
Like ya I have a short memory so I maybe I did, but I am skeptical, do you have screenshots or a suitable chatlog of when I said something that was the norm for previous bad behavior in excess of the average abuse already being hurled at me that session? If I did cross the line I'll apologize, but I don't feel that I did and would say that my hot blooded words from the week before were probably far in excess of what I said today.
This is a tragic situation we should have had time to discuss this and get my side of the issue, my side of the argument I should have been given the opportunity to defend myself and at no point during the session did you so much as hint I was at any point acting inappropriately.
Also what is it about clicking the decline button on a peace treaty (that I wasn't informed of) a breach of rules respect or otherwise?
Their game can only exist to be won.
Then so be it who else can see it done.
