Since it's clear 14th game of our HoI2/3 series is over, let's talk about the future. Who's up for next Monday Game, what are your preferences etc.

I'll have to make up my mind yet, but I would definitely consider Japan again.

Other thing we might want to do is to double player presence in the US, SU and possibly in other countries as UK, Japan and maybe Germany...it all depends on number of players we'll be able to attract.

I'd like to propose promotion of three players to Monday Game Group core:

  • Forgiven - despite being tentative attendant during next game, he's real player and propeller of action. Hopefully he'll keep playing with us in the future.
  • teamgene - proven as competent and reliable player, great cooping teammate.
  • Traks - again compentent and reliable player.

It is symbolic, no exact powers come with this title. But you're in first row to decide the future of Monday Game.

For the rest of MG IV crew, Fiendix, Nieldo and Orthank - I hope to play with you again and get you to the "core" of our group after next game. Smile

So, speak up. We might want to start promoting next game after release of Semper Fi (I guess we're going to play SF) on PI forums too, to get some new blood eventually.
  • Orthank

If we are talking about Semper Fi, then i am very much willing to participate, but on the same conditions. Because of my child, i cant be present 19 CET, i'm usually late. Sometimes it is 19:45 CET and sometimes 20:30 CET. So please sign me in, most likely as a coop of a country that will better fit balanced game.

You have classified me quite right, as it is, I doubt I'll take part in the next game, if I happen to be present on some monday, I'll be available as mercenary general for whatever county that bids highest (or needs me most), but I'll not take official country as I will be absent too much.

So I'll see you for Monday game XVI, even if it happens to be Victoria 2 game Rolleyes assuming that one will start sometime in autumn.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Which is a problem, if you are powerless.

I'm up for trying HoI3 again once semper fi is out.

As I said, I would be happy to try SU with Kyrill again.
Unmodified for now, to see how things work out.
In July I will have vacation two weeks, and will miss one session most likely.
For all of us to get Semper Fi, best to start new game would be in 2 weeks.

I am also ready for another round of HOI3 and see how Semper Fi works out. I think I would like to try the USA this time.
I agree with Traks, let's try the game unmodded to get a feel of the changes. I mean they fixed some of the problems it seems, like the weather is colder and it seems harder to influence isolationist countries.

As of now I haven't really planned my vacation, but I guess I will miss a session or two down the road.

    What's your country preference Anders?

My vacation will be in mid August. I will also be away on June 28.

I was thinking of perhaps USA, or Italy though I don't know that I want to try to follow Forgiven's lead there though, hehehe. Perhaps even UK.

I'm not sure what country I prefer. some medium country, I guess. Or some bumfuck minor... That's it! I'll play Australia!

Anders, I think Canada has more production and manpower.
But then again, Australia has nice task of fighting against Japan. In our last game Japan got pretty close to invading Australia and even landed somehwere on continent.

On the other hand it might be better to just coop a major and then use the all new SF allied objective things for minors..

So far we have (not prioritized):

    Anders: Canada / Australia
Forgiven: Minor or coop I guess
Ederon: Japan / USA / UK
    Hytzon: USA
    Kyril: USSR coop
Teamgene: Italy / USA / UK
    Traks: USSR coop

So far nobody wants good old Germany it seems.
Then again, Schuermann hasn't answered yet and we all know his love for panzers LOL

I can't commit to anything at the moment as I wont have the expansion right from release, money is an issue. So for this reason I will put my name forward as a stand-in-general for the majors, mainly Germany or Russia.

Tell you what, would be nice to get three players each for Germany and Russia when Barbarossa kicks off.

ill see whats left when you are about to start and there is always a chance I wont be able to play (esp the 21st of June). My pref was ussr, but seeing there were so many parties interested in it maybe I should say UK this time.. Maybe Orthank can coop with me again.

Going back slightly on my previous post, I've just managed to get some cash free'd up for SF, so I might be able to take a more permanent roll after all. Wouldn't object to cooping still though.

Let's give everyone chance to get & grasp SF. Also, we might want to start promoting next Monday Game on PI to get new players. Thus I say next week the earliest.

And I'm up for Germany coop. Wouldn't hurt to learn land-based warfare too.

So sign me up for Germany, this time I'll be serving under Generaloberst Schuerman

What timeslot is this in? I keep forgetting I can't play longer than 2200 for the next two months.

I guess somewhere between 1900 and 2400. It's up for discussion, but if you can play only until 22, then you might best go with some coop.

Yes, one week delay at least. Also, what Scenario? 1938 I presume?
    Russia will prevail this time!
I read nice news about Pripyet marshe not passable anymore, bad thing is that Finland now will be much more impassable too.

I wouldn't mind giving Finland a go then. When it falls I could then revert to being a coop partner for Ger or Rus.

How should the new Victory Conditions be set up?

Then i'm cooping with Fiendix, how about Germany?

If we will have enough coop countries, then summer holidays shouldnt influence Monday Game.
