Hehe I'm glad you thought it was scary. Although I can say if I went back and just tweaked my production a little bit it wouldn't have slowed down at all.

I don't think USA lost a sub due to fleet split/merge, at least I didn't notice it. Was it in your fleets Anders?

I did not notice any subs lost on my part.

1) We lost the CV (think the 2 cags on it), the Nelson BB, and a sub - dont know which level. I think I am ok with edits of uk cv if japan lost a cv too.
2) Pity the situation in belgium once again proved paradoxs crappy programming can ruin a game. BEF lost all supplies in Belgium (mil access) and when I noticed it it was too late as they were all out of org. thus the hastey retreat.
3) Rangoon fell though not many troops were lost thankfully. Should have just moved them too calcutta. The combat with japan was done too early as we had too low str.
4) Still waiting on italy though it seems that they will enter once france falls which seems soon...

Nooooo, the France will fight till victory.
But then again, having Kyrill as coop is fun.
Probably Italy is doing smart thing too, as they should choose when to enter in conflict, and should not rush it too much.

I'm responsible for losing Rangoon.

It is not the question about number of divisions that we had there. I am prestty sure that with air cover that we provided to that area we could have easly hold against Japan. Unfortunately i found too late that infantry corp dedicated for defending that area is composed of infantry lev. II. And that was the main issue. I couldnt hold with 3 infantry divisions defending in Jungle behind the river suported with 8 tactical bombers against 1 marine and 3 infantry Japan units.

Organisation, speed and expierience of the Japanse army is very high and without a queastion making them a tough opponent.

Currently we control the city of Calcuta, awaiting for another part of the japanese offensive.

Whle spliting and merging i lost the following ships:

HMS Couragous CV Lvl II
HMS Nelson BB Lvl III
1 SS Lvl III

I lost 20 level V submarines Schuer

I'm kidding.

Anyway, @Belgium: the military access and alliance choice on behalf of the brits and french, respectively, was cheap anyway. So you deserve to rage quit France Tongue
I wondered why you chose to flee from Belgium when i brought myself into position, now i know why. pretty weird anyway.

Also a nice thank you to Kyril, anyway. Your move hastened the downfall of France by 3 months, i didnt wish to invade until 3/1940, but you showed me you were quite weak when i was able to push you back, quickly. I'm lucky i didnt lose Bitburg, that level 10 radar was pretty essential to my war planning and performance. did i mention radar is awesome? Big Grin

Also, if my markings do not lie, and i have not missed many notices, i sunk roughly some 140 british convoys, around 2 dozen escorts, and a couple dozen convoys of other nations as well Smile

Do not worry about the sinking rate too much, your techs will get better over time. meanwhile i will make things a little harder for you Wink

Subs are slightly overpowered in SF 1.0 as there is no effective ASW defense, even with late techs.
I hope 1.1 with better balance comes out before next game.

I also wonder why half of the world wants to be friends with France, feels strange.
Thanks Orthank for information, I will put BB and Sub back. It is even better that we know name, I will search for ship in old saves and copy-paste it.

Also I am impressed how much slower everything works in winter.
Still, communism victory is not delayable.

Edited to properly finish sentence, thought was there but not finalized.

I made my share of mistakes, no question in that. Then again, going from having the strongest forces (BEF) concentrated on the North-West to having only some Belgian Divisions there made it hard to prevent a breakthrough.
Still, it's a good learning experience. When I got BE and NL in Alliance, I would have expected to be able to use a Call To Arms, having them cause some distraction by invading the unprotected borders there, but that option was greyed out (guess only people in the same faction can CTA).

I doubt we will be getting involved any time soon as Germany and Japan are doing quite well without us.

Oh, while we are at it, can we add 15k of rares (or as much as the Dutchies had before the capital of theirs fell) to Germany i got robbed off when we rehosted? I captured Amsterdam mid day, then we had to rehost before the next day (resources get added next day 0000 hours) and i received none. you may check my resources before and after if you have to. It is quite essential Sad

Do tell the method, I'm sure I took quite a bit longer with 'find next = "owned = ger" ' or whatever the real line was...

...looks like rather eventful session then Sergeant as well as buggy, did you have military alliance besides the military access, I know that used to help with the supply run out... (The plain military access is just weird, with no supply trains allowed...)

I want to say no, but we are playing for fun. And fair play is part of fun.
So - how do you know that exactly 15,000? Sure I can add them.

I think Italy will want a lot, and greed will be their downfall Big Grin

The dutchies have 14k rares in december '39. I only got stuff from poland and denmark, nothing from the netherlands. i'd be fine with say 10k or so, i didnt expect the rehost to be wacky in that regard.

Are you sure it's not because the Netherlands still exist in Indonesia and Poland is a non-entity?

Mmm, at least pre-SF the resources were lost with capital (Ie. taking Moscow lead to soviets having no resources/supplies/fuel in the new capital)

And it should be this way. I am fine with adding 13-14,000 rares and will do it tonight.

When you look at new save, you see the dutch capital with 0 resources. they 'should' have been added to me, but were not. I just dont to collapse in early 1941 because i had no rares Sad
And After Forgiven's London stunt 2 games ago i will probably not be able to repeat that again Wink

EDIT: Oh well, before their annexation by me yay

Adding rares worked well, ships not so well.
Will try once more.

Ahahaha. Advice to friends and foes - don't use heavy industry law, it is still bugged as hell.
I will post bugs in bug thread for Game XV, when it is opened.
