Okay lets discuss the setup for the next game. I think we pretty much agreed that we would give HOI3 another go and people already seem to have ideas of what they would like to play.
The game won't start until sometime in the new year, depending a lot of when the patch is ready.

From the top of my head I remember people mentioning the following countries:

Anders: not playing
Forgiven: USSR
Ederon: USSR
Fiendix: Japan or Italy
Hytzon: UK
juv95hrn: ?
Kyril: minor or coop
Orthank: coop
Schuermann: USA
Teamgene: USSR
Traks: Germany

It would be nice if we could get one or two more players for coop, Kyril what is the status of your machine? We might be able to recruit Nieldo again also.

Yup, sounds right for me.
Nothing will happen till start of New Year so probably we should agree and implement some changes (not too many) into mod.

Damn, I was hoping for EU3: Divine Wind or Victoria 2...
Or just regular Doomsday or AoD.

How much modding do you need to do before you realize HoI3 is unbalanced and virtually unplayable? Bash

Hey, any chance of playing Vicky 2 is the OOS issue is resolved?

We are very close to finding a balance, this game was lost more due to good encirclements around marshes and solid Japanese play in India, than by pure combat mechanics. Besides Paradox have listened to us and will implements some changes in the upcoming patch. I would very much like to play Vicky II after the eventual 1.3 patch, but at the moment we need to give HOI3 another spin.

Also, our mod is rather small tbh - but let's keep this thread purely about signup. Modding will go into another thread once we know more of the changes the new patch brings.

Guess it depends on how much fleet you want to play with. There is Japan again, Italy or maybe USA coop Smile

I dont think I want to play japan twice in a row - though id do things differently now, plus id like to see the teams toss up a bit. I i like fleet and usa - though the time it takes to get there is irritating and the OOS... plus id need a coop - wont play them otherwise.

Hooray! Finally Vicky 2 MP!
...you did mean the Victoria 2 OOS-issue, right?

no - he meant the HOI3 sub/cv OOS.

anyways dont know how many players would be willing to play vicII if all was ok anyways. I know Me, Orthank, Traks and I think Juv arent interested - so thats nearly 50% of the crew - though i guess both groups could find more players to play the game they wanted in this time slot..

Would be a good match up methinks!

hehe - yea i can see we could have issues with what to build - ships or tanks - think the latter would win in your case Big Grin. None the less id still like to see whats going on in the new patch before i make up my mind.

I will gladly play as France - if other agree, and then as a coop help. On February and March i will have many meetings in the afternoon, so i rather cant go as a stand alone.

Sounds good Orthank. You are always welcome to coop with me in GB after France falls.

Btw. Schuermann do you have any idea if the patch release will be pushed till after new year, or are they on Schedule? Smile

Reverse psychology; I have said it's a bad place to land, but then you might think I will never do it and suddenly.... BAM!! At least I know its limitations Smile
Maybe I will just DOW USSR and walk from Arkhangelsk to Berlin!

I received my new laptop yesterday (really nice machine imho, Asus G73W), took f'ing ages, but I really wanted to buy it at my local store (offers better warranty and service then any webshop I found).

I would love to join up, but I might have issues attending all monday sessions in the new year. Ideally, I would like to play a minor (HUN/CAN/Manchukwo/whatever) or be a coop player that is less crucial. If you guys keep that in mind, I'm flexible to take any nation or be a sub untill I know I can reliably there.

uhm still a lot of nations not picked - japan, italy. I could go japan again.... cooping usa esp at the start is a waste of time - nothing to do for 1.5 years plus id prolly want to do a specific build scheme that you might not like Big Grin .

Nice Kyril. Thumbs Up

We should avoid minors and focus on fully occupying majors.

Daniel, Kyril states that he does not know if he can manage later on Mondays.
So it's better if he coops country till he knows definitely or takes smaller power.

Did I say something different? Wink

I might not be explicit, but what I meant was that Kyril should choose major (where he'll coop with someone) instead of minor.

As of USSR, all above is just our first preference. Final allocation will be different and I'm sure we'll be able to decide who takes what.
