Due to some work related stuff, I will be a bit late to day. I probably won't be available until 21:00 CET, but just play without me - USA can do fine on AI for now.

Cya later

You can't say civilization don't advance - for in every war, they kill you in a new way.

Can't join. tried restarting HoI3. Still can't join.

"Hvor fattige var de ikke, disse fiskere som levde av havets nåde! De slet sig gjennom livet uten å se sig om til høire eller til venstre. Deres gleder var få, deres bekymringer mange. Men de hadde allikevel et gemyttlig smil til den fremmede, en munter vise og en lun historie. For sånn er de, disse Sørlandets barn."

After initial trouble, we were able to start at around 21:00 CEST. Hopefully it'll be much smoother next time.

Small recap: Barbarossa started in mid September, Italy lost Albania and now faces UK forces near Napoli. Tension between Japan and USA grow up. We are in mid October.

Feed-back! Feed-back!
Is airforce now deployed more reasonably?
Do you like naval battles better?
What about resource distribution?

What would you change in mod? Smile

Airforce is now better with org loss on rebase. No more globe-wide operating radius for air units. Also use of paratroopers is corrected in this manner. You can't transport and drop paras anywhere you want in 24 hours anymore.

Has anything changed in naval battles? I fought just few, every time being the underdog, so can't really judge it. But UK-Italy had few engagements.

Resource distribution may be ok as it is. But it's such a minor unimportant thing, I hardly paid any attention.

My considerations for modding would be:
  • capping supplies armies carry with them, to 20 or even 15 days
  • we are playing 1939, so it's not such an issue yet, but I'd reintroduce our increased cost of ARM in both IC and officers, lowered practicals etc. This is what we should keep IMO.

Generally, I'd look at our mod and port most of it to FTM. Issues it addressed were not resolved by PI. They just added few new eye candy. Biggest thing is air rebase org penalty.

From my side, I would remove or put huge "meantime to happen" to Parliamentary scandal event.
Now it is 2 years and very often removes only minister in country.

Because Axis received 9 months of resources to survive scenario Smile I think it is balanced in 2.05.
I do agree that most things would have to be ported to FTM from mod.
Soviets now are much stronger initially, so probably slightly lowering USA manpower bonuses from our events would be in order.
