Okay let's discuss if we can / do want to continue this game.

I would like to play on if we can get enough people on board, the game is very interesting. Although I have grown accustomed to FTM, I guess I can survive a little SF play... Smile

Same applies to me. It's well set up game with interesting possibilities. Lack of FTM make is no less interesting IMO.

Honestly... I don't know. We did apply some cunning strategy, but what was killing this game for me was random easy landings anywhere. Fucking annoying and spoiling most of fun of game.

Yes, the easy landings and several weeks worth of supply for TANKS are a bit of a gamebreaker.

So, time for a new poll on what to play next? I'm all for Victoria 2. (Prußia for me!)

If you like, I can play the least crucial country.

I think Schuer will re-appear, he was in the US and by now he should be already adapted to normal life again. Gene is about too. Add some guys from Summer game to it maybe and we are in good shape manpower-wise. Morale might be different problem though.

It is not possible for me to take any country as a full time player. I can guarantee that i will be on time and log into the game, but because of my family slave duties i cant promise that i will be full time in front of the desk. Till 9 pm it is usualy do this do that...

Is it certain that this game will go forward on Monday?
If not, V2 or EU3 are excellent games too.

My guess is we'll wait till Schuer appears. I'll try to get him back "before sunset".

Might G will play if we go EU3 for the next Monday game (he wants the Golden Horde).
And I'll want Holland, Switzerland or the Hansa.

I prefer Victoria myself and it's well possible we'll do another HoI3 campaign too, with latest version of the game. But never say never...

How about polling it?
It'd be great to have a game set up and ready to go this Monday. As experienced as we all are in multiplayer games, we can take country-requests and assign after ability and reliability, regardless of what game we decide to play (though I'm hoping for EU3 or V2).

I reckon following issues:
  1. Get Schuer back to know his opinion on continuing the 17th game,
  2. Finally decide what to do, old or new game,
  3. In case of new game, final check of participation and preferences of players, then decide who plays who.

My own preference is hoi3 game (old or new) now, then victoria 2 once expansion is out and MP playable.

Is Schürmann contactable anymore? I'll give him a ring if his phone number's still valid.

I don't think it's necessary to directly call him on phone, though he'll definitely enjoy chatter with you Wink

I'll contact him during the week.

Last time I called, his dad answered the phone.
I regret not asking for "Gruppenführer Felix Schürmann" Big Grin

So, any contact with Gauleiter Schürmann? Regardless of what the game will be, it'd be nice to have the players/countries setup.
