Canada, Australia, Raj, or USSR, in that order.

Also, I'd like to make a suggestion regarding the rules, chiefly that war entries by USA and Soviets be pushed back or moved forward by non-historical DOWs and alliances. As for instance in the Australian ruleset:
Quote:
4. Base USA & USSR war entry is 1st January 1942.

5. Any unhistorical DOW's or Alliances will result in USA and USSR increasing or decreasing there base war entry by 6 months.

As usual I can play anything but I'd like to avoid Germany currently (at least as primary player). I have other Germany games ongoing both in MP and SP and it'd be too much me thinks.

Playing first France and then Brit.Raj after France fell last game, I felt that I took over a mismanaged Brit.Raj from the AI, so I'm thinking about going for Brit.Raj from start this time.

But I'm actually considering playing on the Axis side this time around as well, so I'm a bit divided for the moment... I'm thinking of playing Spain or Romania as Axis this time around. I'm also considering Italy as an option, depending on if no one else takes Italy...

So my 2 different paths of option are...

Brit.Raj - Spain - Romania

Italy - Spain - Romania - Brit.Raj

Italy from start or a Scandinavian minor (if we can get decent houserules for how they aling and so forth). The superpowers are out of the question for me, I am not experienced enough. Maybe france could be interesting as well.

So:

Italy, Scandinavian (probably sweden) or France

If you're to play any Nordic country (as the "Scandinavian" term differs in English vs Swedish to also include Iceland and Finland) I'd recommend Finland as the others are not likely to see any action or influence as far as semi-historical playthroughs our houserules lead to go.

Don't our Houserules allows you to change your own minor country to allies, axis or comintern as you choose?

After Danzig a Sweden with Facists or Communists in power certainly would be allowed to justify vs Norway and Finland to absorb them, and join the appropriate side. If they go allies they are not allowed to attack, but can still be dragged into the war. No specific rule about when but it would be unreasonable if they are not allowed to join the war latest when USA can.

All other minors are allowed to join sides and the war ahistorically ( for example Spain last session ) so why would Sweden be an exception?

No it doesn't, it's just people using it wrong. It's still "the Nordic countries" in English.

I take the USA as my first alternative and probably Japan as my second(But, I'm not sure yet). Germany is out of the question for me, since i havent really played them at all yet on HOI4.

Also: if no one volunteers to play Germany I would be ok playing them.

Some will be easy and some don t .
So please chime in and say it it looks okay or not Smile

After the countries are put in stone on monday hopefully ,then we can put up a thread on Paradox to get some more players.

So i will be updating the first page...

My initial feeling for this lineup is that there are a bit too many players in the allied side (including Soviet 6 vs 3).

Could some of the Allied minor players ( maybe Anders or Redcoat ) maybe consider switching to an Axis minor instead like Spain or Romania? If not the main focus of the recruitment post should be getting more Axis minor players IMO.

Agreed. I would however suggest that if there's one commonwealth "minor" that should be handled by a player it's the British Raj (as frankly it's basically a major by mid-war if handled right and completely useless if handled by the AI).

I also agree with you two about the balance, so I asked Redcoat about playing Axis and Anders can stay on Raj.

What do you think about that?

Recruit somebody to play Romania and/or Hungary then.

If Redcoat could play an Axis minor and we could recruit 1 more Axis minor player that would be great (5 vs 5). Then both sides have some backup players that can swap as well if someone can't play one week, or if the need of coop is greater then what the minor can contribute.

Yes, I would actually say that both Spain(as Axis), and Brit Raj, are both borderline majors. They are stronger than any other minors but not as strong as the majors...

Filling up the slots for Brit.Raj and Spain as well for Romania would be great.

Spain is quite straightforward playing a supporting role for the Axis side, so maybe Juv95hrn would be interested in that, or perhaps Romania...

Redcoat just called me and said that he could play Spain or Romania.

So now it's more even between the teams.

Will you Alex or Praetori start a thread on Paradox for recruiting more people to the group.

Swedish speakers would be best, but Scandinavian people works to, but good if they understand some Swedish.
