I'll play what's left ( would prefer a Major though ).

Note that me and Seseo won't be able to play from 17:th Jan to 3:ed Feb, due to vacation. So probably put us in different teams and make sure replacement is available unless we play the minor.

As I played Italy for the first time ever last round, I would like to give it a second go.

As my 2nd choice I could go for Brit.Raj.

3rd choice I don't know....

We have to consider two thing...

1: Alex and Saseo has to be minor on opposite sides or playing Coop, because they are going to be away for 3 weeks(Play opportunities)

2: That we wait with a new Campaign until Alex and Saseo is back.

If we wait maybe we can have a new patch until then or a new Hotfix for some problems.

What do you think about that

So far I have decided to play US ,Japan or an Allied minor maybe,
I could play a axis minor also.
All this with minors depends on what Alex and saseo will play as minors.

I can, as usual, play whatever.
Depending on team makeup people had wishes for me and Alex not being on the same team so I'll wait and see.

Otherwise I'm open for UK again.

Also I spoke a bit with Jorgen_CAB on the PDX forums and he was interested in joining.

Okay, we will have to wait then and see how it turns out with countries.

Good with a new player(Jorgen_CAB).

So who's playing what?
And are we using the hotfix (which apparently fixes a bunch of stuff)?

That was released as main steam version over a week ago though... Why wouldn't we use the latest version of the game on steam?

Oh... and please provide me with good details I need to know to actually join on Team Speak and in the game... it is after all my first time with MP on this level for a very long time.

I had a great time despite my microphone being busted or not working properly, should be interesting to see how things pan out.

Some thoughts from someone that have not played MP before...

I do find it a bit odd how the Allies and Soviet player are so open and friendly with each other. Shouldn't the Allies and Soviets actually be rivals... seem like a better balance for overall game-play?

Such as the VC are whomever breaks Germany or Japan first and hold their original capitals is declared the winner between the Allies and Soviets while the Axis win if either Soviet, UK or USA falls.

Whomever drop a nuclear bomb end the game in a draw. A broken faction can still end the game in a draw by dropping a nuke, it becomes a time race as it very much was in history.

There should just be more mistrust between the Allies and Soviets since they both can't win together, I might be completely wrong though... Wink

Yeah it was a great time yesterday.

We have never really had any rules about Allies and Soviet ,but i know that we have talk about that they could be potentially enemies.
Historically they helped each other in a unwritten alliance.
But as you point out maybe we should have that talk now before the War breaks out in full soon.
VC has also never really been discussed ,but it has been when like one side doesn't feel that it can win or do anything more.
As you write, we should have some rules about VC of course.
About the Nuke ,no one has drop a Nuke yet in our MP games as I can remember ,but we need to take a talk about to.
I agree that the Allies and soviet is really separate alliance ,but they also helped each other in WW2 historically ,but they are 2 of three sides really and should be not trustworthy really ,because if the Soviets should be able to win as a Fraction ,they have to do some nasty stuff.

Great that you enjoyed the session.

Regarding the Soviets on TS it's historical that they'll end up in war with the Axis and the axis players need to talk and coordinate with each other which they can't if USSR player is in the chat. It's not super fun to sit alone in the Comintern channel so it's more of a social thing from our HOI3 games that the Soviet player sits in the Allied channel.

This group is so relaxed that it's not really a hindrance to a possible Operation Unthinkable (in that case we'll simply move between chat rooms).

If the Axis or Allies feel that the VCs are important to declare a victor there's nothing stopping further wars in the end.
It's usually sportsmanlike agreements when there's a given loss like allowing the losers a chance to fight on in a Götterdämmerung scenario with a fixed timeframe (ie if Germany accepts and chooses to fight on they "win" if it's not over until December 45 or similar).
