Should have been done a long time ago, one should be able to declare an unjustified war and manage the consequences after. Sure pretenders of the past would try and get their claims together to try and legitimise their rule before they attacked, reducing the chances of revolts. But you know, if you just feel like taking a bit of land, a region or something because you can why not, just max out the chances of revolt, until a culture conversion is achieved or favour is increased or something.

Eh, this is one of the areas where CKII differs most from other (non-Paradox) games, and I think that does a lot to set the spirit of the game (for a typical player, it's mostly about medieval middle management).

If the costs are similar to breaking a truce, that seems fine; if basically everyone gets the Muslim conquest ability, that seems bad.

The way it works is Dukes that hold lands within a duchy titles that have no been created yet can war for the remaining lands in these areas. Counts can declare war on other counts in thier home duchy. Kingdom level conquests can be called for a massive piety and (Possibly relations) hit.

No Byzantine Emperor means no Varangian Guard; no Varangian Guard means no TOG.3117, which means I don't get to use this meme.

This is not what I would usually consider a success on a date. Do you know something about Yami's tastes that I don't?

National Anthem of Finland played on a Japanese musical instrument.

Their game can only exist to be won.
Then so be it who else can see it done.

Actually apparently I am wrong, it only kinda resembles a Japanese Shamisen, but is actually a kantele, a traditional Finnish instrument!

Really wanted Labour to win, so that they could fail and demonstrate to people that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

You know, I was really ready to bow down to Papa Putin though, guess it will have to wait.

Sounds like you need a little Monarchism to be introduced into the formula again to sort out this peasant rabble.

I hope May does the honourable thing and resigns as party leader. I have money riding on her not being PM on the 30th.

Having looked at the latest patch notes for HoI4, I propose that we roll back Recessional 2 to 1936 and see what happens without all those bugs. Rolleyes

What exactly changed that would've made a difference in 36'? The only things I can think of are all mid-war stuff; supply issues, front AI management, and he OPness of Superior Firepower.

The naval air stuff might have made a difference in the English invasion of Italy.

Is there a reason we have four player dynasties with the exact same coat of arms?

What was the Naval Air stuff? Would it have allowed you to slow him/Jakob down?
