Austria is now severely weakened if Transvaal or others wants to grab it's colonies in a colonial or even real war.
The SGF will only take land it has a rightful claim to, like the rest of Grossdeutschland. Salzburg will be returned to Austria once our relation with them makes another war unlikely.

well, I'd rather have any other party with full citizenship but its the only party around, I had a liberal party at the start of the game with full citizenship but it got replaced with a Lim. Citizenship party and I've been stuck ever since. My socialist party sucks with its pacifism and that won't be too helpful for my expansionist desires Evil Grin, but full citizenship is the core policy for any self respecting expansionist nation LOL

I agree, usa post acw republican party should have full citizenship imo. The game mechanics are just plain biased toward socialism. That is why I play vip/r.

I have to agree about the late game being biased towards Socilaists, there are really no downside playing them other that the pacifist issue in some cases.

Once your economy is good, and machine parts are available in quantity, State Capitalism becojmes much more convenient. At least compared to 50 Glass factories...

Convincing the cappies to build what you want is not that hard, it just requires market manipulation;-)

The problem is that they do not expand factories very often, and can only build 1 factory in each region at a time. When your region has a certain ammount of people, it will outgrow the factory production. In the last game, I had 62 million!! people in London and therefore I had to expand 10 factories (or build new ones) at a time, to keep up with the growth! Thus at least Interventionism is needed in late game if you have high population in some regions.

I guess I am too used to vip/r, because the cappies there do upgrade factories quite often.

But still, they won't build more than 1 at a time and if your lucky they will also expand 1 at the same time. Thats how it works in Vanilla anyways, is it different in VIP?

I explained in the game, you can upgrade factories in LF. All you need to do is go to the ledger that shows factory efficiency and right click. I'm sure its a bug but frankly, the political system is bugged beyond use, the difference between intervention and laissez faire is very small.

Depends on how many cappies in a region, and how much money they have. Using new york and california as examples, I have seen 2 factories in each with at least one more getting upgraded. Those and alaska are my biggest regions, with very high population growth, and no taxes on anybody tarriffs only.

Its a bug for sure, but I think its fine as it balances out the political aspect. Thanks for sharing the information Smile

I've been LF quite early in the game and I've yet to get 1 glass factory, actually argentina is importing glass Rolleyes . So why waste good money & machine parts on factories that capis can build, while you can continue to promote or build up a military.

Ok I split my pops, the AI has actually done pretty good for argentina. Built quite a few factories & upgraded others, as well as promoted many pops too. I'm actually quite impressed.
